Job Overview Covenant Crafters Custom Woodworking is currently seeking an experienced CAD Programmer and Drafter/Editor The Cabinet Drafter/Editor is responsible for supporting the shop in design and drafting. Responsibilities include providing support for the Sales Team and Build Team using applicable applications, including CAD and Moziak (Cabinet Software)
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who is well versed in custom cabinetry design. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and collaborates with multiple departments and takes ownership of every project. Covenant Crafters is a high-end custom cabinet operation that specializes in projects all around DFW. Our projects include full custom kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, murphy doors and more. (Training opportunities will possibly be given to qualified candidates)
Essential Roles Include:
  • Reviewing shop drawings drafted by the Sales Team
  • Provides technical support for the Build and Sales team related to cabinet drafting and design
  • Creates detailed production shop drawings and cut-lists for specialty cabinet items including murphy doors, vent hoods, etc.
  • Maintains drawing files and operates computer-aided design programs
  • Pro-actively manages project and issues
  • Communicates effectively with Sales, production, purchasing and installers
  • Coordinates projects from design through installation, ensuring all departments have the information needed for success. Qualifications
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. (Read and write fluently in English)
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience with custom cabinetry and furniture
  • Cabinet Vision or Mozaik experience is required
  • Knowledge of wood species commonly used in the cabinet industry
  • Ability to frequently move large sheet goods and lift up to 50lbs
Preferred Experience:
  • Forklift certified (or prior experience operating a forklift)
  • Professional Cabinet/Moulding Installation Pay:
    $45,000.00
  • $55,000.
