This individual will have the opportunity to bring a fresh perspective on print and color, while being responsible for supporting the process. To be effective in this role, the individual must be proactive, work well in a fast-paced environment, adapt easily to change, have an eye for elevated design, and have a basic understanding of fashion design. We are looking for someone who is passionate about performance apparel. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Research marketplace for inspiration and opportunities for color. Supports print and color designer and actions on feedback. Assists in building seasonal color palettes through market analysis, trend research and brand ethos. Contributes to the creation of color palettes each season. Works closely with the Design Operations Manager to ensure color deadlines and deliverables are met. Supports the maintenance of the digital color and print libraries for the season. Keeps color tools well organized for the design department. Supports Merch Guides maintenance throughout the season. Organizes samples, tools, and designated print and color design spaces. Supports in setting up color and print representation and creating of design boards for department presentations. Works closely with Color Development team, with clear communication and collaboration on key deliverables. Qualifications 3+ years design experience Degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field. Strong knowledge of textiles, artwork techniques, and fabric. Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop. PLM experience preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Positive, passionate, and proactive problem-solving skills. Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to meet deadlines and operate under tight time constraints with a strong sense of urgency. Able to work collaboratively in a team environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Carlsbad, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
