Job Description

Overview We are looking for an Apparel Technical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience with garment construction, fit, and tech packs, works well with others, and can work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between design, production, and merchandising, ensuring that each garment meets the highest standards of quality, fit, and aesthetic appeal. Your energetic approach and keen eye for detail will help shape the future of our apparel collections, inspiring confidence and style in every piece. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with designers to develop technical specifications, ensuring designs translate seamlessly from concept to production. Create detailed technical sketches and flat drawings using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to communicate design intent clearly. Develop and review pattern blocks and prototypes, applying garment construction knowledge to achieve optimal fit and function. Conduct fittings and fit sessions to evaluate garment construction, fit, and overall quality, providing constructive feedback for adjustments. Ensure color accuracy by applying color theory principles during fabric selection and development processes. Coordinate with vendors, factories, and internal teams to troubleshoot issues related to sewing techniques, fabric behavior, or construction details. Requirements Experience in apparel technical design Knowledge of garment construction and fit Ability to create and update tech packs Experience measuring garments and reviewing fit samples Strong attention to detail Proficient Microsoft Excel Good communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience working with factories and vendors Understanding of fabrics, trims, and sizing Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Team player with strong problem-solving skills Ability to evaluate fit samples and communicate fit corrections clearly to vendors and factories
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
