This role is perfect for a motivated individual looking to kickstart their career in fashion accessories. You will support the design process from initial concept through to production-ready technical packages, while maintaining ownership of sample organization and showroom presentation. Key Responsibilities •

Design & Illustration:

Create detailed 2D flat sketches and CADs for seasonal handbag collections. •

Technical Specs:

Develop comprehensive tech packs, including detailed construction callouts, material specifications, and hardware requirements. •

Sample & Showroom Management:

Oversee the intake, organization, and tracking of all prototypes and production samples. Maintain a highly organized sample room and build out product racks for presentations. •

Trend Research:

Assist in researching seasonal trends, color palettes, and innovative materials to keep our collections fresh and competitive. •

Cross-Functional Support:

Collaborate with the product development and production teams to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the manufacturing process. Day-to-Day Responsibilities •

Sample Handling & Intake:

Receive and open all incoming sample shipments from factories. Unpack, review, and properly log new arrivals. •

Organization & Retrieval:

Maintain, archive, and organize the sample library so that specific materials, components, and past styles can be easily located by the team. •

Rack Setup & Presentation Prep:

Build, arrange, and organize physical sample racks based on designated linesheets, collection lists, or meeting agendas for internal reviews and buyer presentations. •

Design Execution:

Design original handbags tailored to the Junior and Missy categories, ensuring designs align with specific price points and aesthetic preferences. •

Artwork & Pattern Creation:

Develop original artwork, prints, and repeating patterns for linings or exterior materials. Create initial rough patterns to communicate shape and volume to the sampling room. •

Data Organization:

Maintain accurate line sheets, component trackers, and sample logs using Microsoft Excel. Required Skills & Qualifications •

Adobe Creative Suite:

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (for technical sketching and CADs) and Adobe Photoshop (for mood boards and material rendering). •

Data Management:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel for creating line sheets, Bill of Materials (BOM), and tracking design data. •

Technical Knowledge:

A foundational understanding of handbag construction, materials, and hardware. •

Physical & Organizational Stamina:

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle physical inventory, manage a high volume of samples, and keep track of fast-moving items. •

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or a related field. •

Communication:
