3+ Months Contract with extension About the Role As an Assistant Designer, you will help develop fashion-forward, commercially viable swimwear products from concept through sample stage. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Product Development, and Marketing to ensure designs are accurate, on-brand, and production-ready Key Responsibilities Create and develop swimwear design concepts, sketches, and prototypes Build tech packs, BOMs, and detailed construction specifications Support seasonal product development focusing on fit, fabric, and styling Research fashion trends, competitors, and consumer needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PD, Merchandising, Graphics, Color & Print) Update linesheets and design documentation throughout the season Review and refine samples based on feedback Ensure all deliverables meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements Maintain accuracy in tools like Centric (BOM updates) and Adobe Illustrator Present design concepts to internal stakeholders Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of fashion/apparel design experience in a retail or commercial environment Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabric development Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Creative Suite Experience creating tech packs and technical documentation Strong fashion sense with ability to translate trends into commercial products Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
