• Only qualified Designer (Women's Swimwear) candidates located near Manhattan, NY to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.
• Our client is the world's largest intimates' specialty retailer offering a wide assortment of modern, fashion-inspired collections including signature bras, panties, lingerie, casual sleepwear, swim and athleisure, as well as award-winning prestige fragrances and body care.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree, Bachelor's in Design or equivalent experience

Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities:

• 5+ years of design experience in a comparable retail environment
• Strong commercial fashion eye and attention to detail in product styling and performance
• Demonstrated ability to create original design sketches and product lines
• Strong understanding of fit construction and fabrics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Illustrator InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite
• PLM experience (Centric desired)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Team oriented and collaborative approach
• Ability to motivate and develop talent
• Flexible and creative problem solving mindset

Role:

The Designer will be responsible for creating commercially viable product designs for specific categories collections Presents and delivers brand right designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy encompassing style color print fit and fabric for new existing product lines Researches and interprets fashion trends and consumer needs that uphold the integrity of the product lines client Demonstrates a passion for the client brand inspires individuals and relies on managerial skills to plan and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities:

• Create brand right commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction business strategy
• Deliver product designs with flawless execution achieving goals with speed agility and attention to detail
• Develop seasonal product with a focus on style fit and fabric
• Adapt designs based on feedback incorporating for finalization
• Recommend resources for sourcing new ideas and conduct competitor research and trend analysis
• Collaborate and communicate with key partners including Merchandising Marketing and Product Development
• Present designs to internal team and cross functional partners
• Execute design sketches prototypes and provide specifications
• Create detailed tech packs focusing on construction drapes and finishing techniques
• Update BOMs in Centric and ensure accuracy
• Update line sheets throughout the season ensuring accuracy across teams
• Manage develop and inspire junior design talent
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships
• Ensure deliverables meet budget and timelines without compromising design excellence

• Must be able to work onsite in New York City
• Portfolio required showcasing design sketches tech packs and construction knowledge
• Role requires strong ownership speed and adaptability
