Design Director

About D'IYANU:

D'IYANU is a leading ecommerce fashion brand rooted in African- inspired design, offering bold, print-driven apparel for men, women, and kids. We serve a global customer base and are focused on delivering standout products and a seamless shopping experience.

Responsibility:

• Lead design direction, color stories, prints, and collection storytelling
• Oversee collections from concept through production handoff
• Manage and mentor the design team while driving accountability and organization
• Lead weekly design meetings and maintain clear timelines and ownership
• Review and approve sketches, prints, tech packs, samples, and colorways
• Lead fit sessions and partner closely with the Technical Designer on fit and construction
• Ensure collections are cohesive, commercially strong, and aligned with launch calendars
• Collaborate cross functionally with Production, Marketing, and Ecommerce teams

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of fashion design experience
• Previous leadership experience required
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrics, and product development
• Strong print and color sensibility
• Highly organized with strong communication and project management skills
• Experience managing multiple collections and deadlines simultaneously
• Experience working with overseas factories preferred
