Dallas, TX 75247 Job Summary The Junior Designer will assist the VP of Design and Design Department in creating design assets, CADs, trend research, creating development tech packs, preparing presentations, managing print and color selections, maintaining design and material libraries, organizing development assets and general departmental support. Key Responsibilities Ownership of design notes and print/color adjustments during fittings Responsible for CAD creation for both garments and Print Artwork Oversee Colorways and Color Standards Document design and color corrections Support updates to cover sheets with design changes, print, trim and color corrections Organize and keep track of strike offs and color standards Support quality and fit consistency during production handoff when needed Spec garments and help with Tech Packs Trend and print research Produce flat sketches and 2D renderings Maintain color, swatch and design reference libraries Maintain Design Boards Keep line sheets and development images/CADs up to date Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Production, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Must be proficient in Adobe Suite, Excel, Presentation Programs Basic understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and sewing techniques Familiarity with fit terminology and apparel measurement standards Understanding of contemporary fashion market and trends Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy Highly organized and good with time management Ability to work on multiple projects at a time Ability to quickly absorb and apply brand-specific aesthetic standards Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Strong organizational and documentation skills Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google sheets, and familiarity with PLM systems is a plus Proficiency in Adobe Suite is required Professional communication skills for working with internal teams and external vendors Ability to take direction Passion for fashion and interest in current market trends Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience with line sheets and line plans Knowledge of production process and fit Exposure to domestic and offshore vendor communication Experience with seasonal design presentations
