Job Description

Floral & Event Assistant (Part-Time)
Starting Pay:
$16.90/hour Seascape Flowers is a family-owned floral studio in Aptos looking for a part-time Floral & Event Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level position and a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, working with people, and being part of a creative environment. No floral experience is required. We are happy to train the right person. Flower shops are busy, hands-on workplaces where every day is different. One day you may be helping customers in the shop, the next you may be processing flowers, making deliveries, or assisting with a wedding installation. We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and willing to jump in wherever help is needed. What You'll Do Assist customers in the retail shop Answer phones and help process orders Process, prepare, and care for fresh flowers Maintain a clean and organized workspace Assist with flower deliveries throughout the area Help load and unload vehicles Support wedding and event installations and breakdowns Assist with day-to-day shop operations What We're Looking For Friendly, professional, and positive attitude Strong work ethic and reliability Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the day Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience Floral experience is a plus, but not required Weekend availability is required Schedule Shop hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Wedding and event work frequently takes place on Saturdays and occasionally Sundays, so applicants must be available to work weekends as needed. Please Note This is a physically active position. Team members regularly lift heavy buckets, load and unload vehicles, make deliveries, and assist with event installations. If you enjoy staying busy and working with your hands, you'll fit right in. We create flowers for everyday occasions, weddings, and events throughout Santa Cruz, Carmel, and the Monterey Peninsula.
