Floral Designer

Fleurs du Soleil is seeking an experienced, creative floral designer to join our team. We are a high-end, high-volume, fast paced floral shop on the Monterey Peninsula, specializing in unique and natural floral designs for weddings, events, businesses, and daily arrangements. Our studio also features retail home décor and a gift boutique. We are looking for a creative, hardworking, multi-tasking, and confident individual who can work both independently and collaboratively With a minimum of 3 years floral and design experience. more experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience specifically with weddings, events, and daily florals.

Tasks:

Produce innovative and creative designs for weddings, events, funerals, and everyday floral. Process, organize, design, and maintain quality control of all flowers coming in and orders that leave the store. Maintain a clean and organized environment. Cleaning includes buckets, vases, the cooler, floors, design tables, store products, and a clean sales floor. Possess the ability to consult with potential customers regarding their wedding or event. Have a clear understanding of floral inventory management. Long hours of standing and occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs). Delivery, set-up, and some strikes of wedding/event deliveries. Provide friendly customer service, assist in retail sales, and take phone orders. •Must have 3 years minimum of floral design experience with weddings, events, and daily florals!

Salary:

Hourly salary will be commensurate with experience.

Schedule:

This position will begin as part-time (24 hours per week), with the potential to transition to full-time (30-40 hours per week). A full-time schedule would typically be Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with possible evening hours. The part-time schedule will be determined upon hire.

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
