Floral Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a creative and highly motivated Floral Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position combines artistic floral design training with exceptional customer service to deliver an outstanding experience to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for flowers, possess a desire to learn design, and have excellent communication skills to assist customers both in person, over the phone, and online. In addition, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs of flower arrangements and supplies is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Floral Assistant:

Assist in the creation of a variety of floral arrangements for different occasions, including but not limited to weddings, funerals, events, holidays, and special orders. Maintain the freshness and quality of floral inventory, ensuring all products are visually appealing and ready for customer orders. Customize floral arrangements based on customer specifications, preferences, and seasonal availability.

Customer Service:

Assist customers in person, over the phone, and online, providing product recommendations, taking orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Handle inquiries regarding floral arrangements, delivery options, pricing, and availability. Provide expert guidance on the care and maintenance of flowers and arrangements.

Order Management:

Accurately take customer orders through various channels, including phone calls, the website, and in-store. Process orders for delivery or pick-up, ensuring all details (such as delivery date, time, and preferences) are captured correctly. Coordinate with team members to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.

Physical Demands:

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs of flower buckets and supplies. Assist with the setup and teardown of floral displays, event installations, and deliveries. Assist in maintaining an organized and clean work environment, ensuring flowers and supplies are stored properly.

Sales Support:

Promote seasonal products, special offers, and new floral arrangements to customers. Maintain a positive, professional, and friendly demeanor at all times, ensuring that every customer interaction is a positive experience.

Qualifications:

Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle various customer requests and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of floral supplies and arrangements. Proficient in using phones, computers, and web-based platforms for taking and processing orders. Knowledge of flower types, care, and maintenance is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
