Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented and experienced Part Time or Full Time Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an established skills in making upscale flowers for large funeral and wedding works. This role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to showcase your floral design talents in a vibrant retail environment. The Floral Designer will also assist with related tasks such as merchandising, stocking, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable shopping experience. Duties Create custom floral arrangements for events, holidays, and everyday customers using floral design techniques. Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers by proper handling and storage. Assist customers in selecting flowers and designing arrangements that meet their needs and preferences. Manage floral inventory, including ordering supplies and stock replenishment. Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and retail math accuracy. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product suggestions, and ensuring satisfaction. Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring the floral section is attractive and well-stocked. Perform basic gardening or landscape maintenance tasks as needed. Support e-commerce sales through online platforms if applicable. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace to promote safety and efficiency. Qualifications Previous experience or training in floral design, horticulture, or gardening preferred. Knowledge of landscape maintenance, lawn care, or related outdoor skills is a plus. Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage. Familiarity with retail sales processes, POS systems, cashiering, and stock management. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and inventory control. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Customer service-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of retail math for sales transactions and cash handling accuracy. Knowledge of e-commerce platforms is desirable but not required.
