Job Summary Join our team as a Florist Assistant, where you will play a key role in being a team member and supporting daily shop operations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors and indoors, engaging with customers and assisting with a variety of tasks that bring joy and color to our community. Your enthusiasm for plants, flowers, and customer service will help us deliver exceptional experiences and stunning floral designs. Responsibilities Delivering to funeral homes, cemetery and bussinesses and residents within our zip code. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of floral displays, tools, and supplies. Learn the names of each flower and plant for knowledge of assisting customers. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about plants, flowers, and floral options both in-store and over the phone. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, handle cash and card payments accurately, and manage retail math calculations. Restock shelves with fresh flowers, plants, and merchandising displays to attract customers. Identify various plants and flowers through plant identification skills to assist customers effectively. Requirements Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, retail sales, and cash handling. Knowledge of floral design techniques and horticulture principles to support creative arrangements. Organizational skills for stocking, merchandising, and maintaining a tidy workspace. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies, standing for extended periods, and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
