Job Description

The Cheese Market at Leary's Fine Wines of Newburyport, has an opening for a full-time Cheese Manager. Our ideal
Candidate:
Has at least 2 years of experience as a Cheese Monger or Cheese Manager Assists customers to make cheese buying decisions (pairing, entertaining, cooking suggestions), educates about the products, builds trust/lasting relationships and create sales. Being able to comfortably speak with customers and make recommendations is essential. Provides excellent customer service, makes customers feel welcomed and special Is hardworking, never idle, self motivated Is very friendly and gets along well with coworkers Has loads of enthusiasm even under pressure Is a great team player with a positive attitude Is driven to learn Is able to work weekends & holidays
Job Description:
Order weekly inventory of cheese, charcuterie & specialty goods Price products according to store policy Enter invoices into computer/point of sale system Assist customers in selecting cheese Cut and wrap cheese in precise, timely, and aesthetically pleasing manner Design & assemble cheese & charcuterie boards Build cheese and charcuterie displays Oversee the production of our in house items Create merchandising signs Clean and reset for the next day during closing shift Keep the kitchen tidy and sanitary, washing dishes and sanitizing in real time Operate cash register Stock shelves Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
