Job Overview Join our vibrant floral team as a Floral Assistant and immerse yourself in the art of floral design, gardening, and customer service! This energetic role offers the chance to work closely with beautiful blooms, assist customers in creating stunning floral bouquets, and support daily retail operations. As a retail location open 7 days a week for full-time/part-time employees, weekends are a must. Whether you're passionate about horticulture or eager to develop new skills in floral design and retail sales, this position provides a dynamic environment to grow your expertise while delivering exceptional service. Duties Assist customers with selecting flowers and floral arrangements, offering expert advice on floral design and care. Prepare, assemble, and arrange flowers for various occasions, ensuring high-quality presentation. Maintain the floral display area by stocking fresh flowers, arranging displays, and ensuring cleanliness and organization. Support retail operations including merchandising, inventory management, and stock replenishment using organizational skills. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions, handle cash accurately, and process payments efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Collaborate with team members on floral orders, special events, and seasonal promotions to maximize sales opportunities. Work side by side with our lead designer to learn all of the ways our shop and learn the floral industry. Experience Previous experience in floral design or horticulture is preferred; enthusiasm for gardening and floral arts is essential. Will train the right candidate who shows passion in the beauty of florals and the story arrangements tell. Familiarity with retail operations such as cashiering, stock management, and merchandising enhances your effectiveness in this role. Experience in floral preparation and processing is preferred. Strong communication skills in English are necessary; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers. Organizational skills are vital for maintaining displays, managing inventory levels, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
