Floral Designer - Part-Time or Full-Time Queen Anne Flowers - Huntington, NY Queen Anne Flowers is looking for an experienced and creative Floral Designer to join our team. We are a busy local flower shop serving everyday occasions, weddings, funerals, holidays, and special events. We are looking for someone who has a good eye for design, works efficiently, and can create beautiful arrangements while maintaining the quality and style our customers expect. Responsibilities Design fresh flower arrangements for birthdays, anniversaries, sympathy, get well, and other everyday occasions Create funeral and sympathy pieces, including standing sprays, wreaths, hearts, and casket sprays Assist with wedding and event flowers, including bouquets, centerpieces, corsages, and boutonnieres Follow customer requests, recipes, photos, and price points while using good floral design judgment Process, clean, and properly care for fresh flowers Keep the design area, cooler, and workspaces clean and organized Help prepare orders for delivery and customer pickup Assist customers when needed Work efficiently during busy holidays and high-volume periods Qualifications Previous professional floral design experience preferred Knowledge of fresh flowers, floral care, and basic design techniques Ability to create arrangements independently Good sense of color, balance, proportion, and flower selection Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced flower shop Ability to stand for extended periods and lift flower buckets, boxes, and supplies Availability during major floral holidays such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day is strongly preferred
