This role is ideal for a highly skilled floral designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in exceptional craftsmanship, and enjoys bringing beautiful floral experiences to luxury hotels, events, and private clients. The Senior Florist is expected to work independently, mentor junior team members, maintain the highest design standards, and help ensure every installation reflects the Swell Botanics aesthetic. Responsibilities Floral Design Design premium floral arrangements for weekly hospitality accounts, weddings, corporate events, and private clients. Execute installations and breakdowns both independently and with a team. Interpret design recipes, inspiration photos, and creative direction while contributing original ideas. Maintain consistency with the Swell Botanics design aesthetic. Prepare arrangements efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality. Production & Operations Process and care for fresh flowers and foliage. Maintain inventory and communicate supply needs. Keep workspaces organized, clean, and production-ready. Assist with recipe creation and production planning. Ensure proper handling and transportation of floral product. Leadership Lead production teams during busy event weeks. Train and mentor assistant designers and production staff. Provide constructive feedback while maintaining a positive team culture. Help establish efficient workflows throughout the studio. Client Experience Represent Swell Botanics professionally on-site. Communicate courteously with hotel staff, planners, and clients. Resolve minor issues independently while escalating larger concerns appropriately. Ensure installations exceed client expectations. Qualifications 5+ years professional floral design experience. Strong portfolio demonstrating luxury floral work. Experience with weddings, events, and weekly floral programs. Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality. Strong color theory and floral mechanics. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Comfortable using ladders and working on installations. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Weekend and holiday availability during peak seasons. Preferred Experience Luxury hospitality experience. Large-scale event installations. Plant knowledge is a plus. Experience leading production teams. Inventory management experience.
