Weekday and weekend availability preferred Position Overview We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Flower Shop Assistant to help with daily shop tasks, including changing water, cleaning flowers, helping maintain arrangements, organizing inventory, and keeping the shop clean and presentable. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with flowers, has a good eye for detail, and is willing to help wherever needed. Responsibilities Change water in flower buckets and vases Clean, trim, and prepare flowers for arrangements Help fix, refresh, and maintain floral arrangements Remove damaged or wilted flowers Keep flower displays neat and organized Assist with unpacking and organizing flower deliveries Clean work areas, buckets, tools, counters, and display areas Help prepare basic arrangements under direction Assist customers when needed Support florists and shop staff with daily tasks Qualifications Prior flower shop or floral experience is helpful but not required Must be reliable, organized, and able to follow instructions Good attention to detail Comfortable standing, lifting, cleaning, and working with water Friendly and professional attitude Willing to work in a fast-paced shop environment Weekend availability is a plus Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, neat, careful with flowers, and takes pride in keeping arrangements and displays looking fresh. This person should be comfortable doing both creative and basic shop work, including cleaning, organizing, and helping the team during busy periods.
