Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Floral Designer to lead our floral design team and elevate our floral offerings. This role involves overseeing the creation of innovative floral arrangements, managing floral inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in floral design, horticulture, and retail operations, with the ability to inspire creativity and maintain high standards of quality. As a key leader within our organization, the Head Floral Designer will drive both artistic excellence and operational efficiency, fostering a welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Responsibilities Lead the development of unique, high-quality floral arrangements tailored to client specifications and seasonal trends. Supervise and mentor floral design staff, providing guidance on techniques, safety, and best practices. Manage floral inventory levels, including ordering supplies, stocking materials, and maintaining proper storage conditions. Coordinate with retail sales teams to promote floral products through merchandising strategies and visual displays. Ensure all floral displays meet company standards for quality, freshness, and presentation. Oversee daily operations of the floral department, including cash handling, POS transactions, and customer service interactions. Collaborate with vendors to source premium flowers and horticultural supplies at competitive prices. Maintain organizational skills to track sales data, stock levels, and seasonal planning. Support e-commerce initiatives by updating online product listings and managing digital marketing efforts related to floral offerings. Communicate and meet with clients on weddings and events. Requirements Proven experience in floral design with a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical skill. Knowledge of horticulture principles, and merchandising. Familiarity with retail operations including POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and retail math. Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and team members professionally. Strong organizational skills to manage stock levels, seasonal planning, and workflow efficiency. Experience with e-commerce platforms for online sales management is desirable. Passion for customer service with a proactive approach to sales growth.
