Responsibilities Design and assemble a variety of floral arrangements tailored to customer specifications, seasonal themes and replicating our current design catalogue Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers through proper handling, processing, and storage techniques Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and related products, providing advice on floral care and design options Manage inventory by stocking flowers, plants, floral supplies, and merchandising displays to ensure an attractive shopping environment Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions and cash handling procedures Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service experiences Completing opening, daily and closing procedures of the shop Answering phones and speaking with customers to take orders as well as handling online floral and gift orders Have flexible availability to work additional hours during the busy floral holidays including, but not limited to, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, homecoming and prom seasons. Skills Proven experience in floral design and floral arrangement techniques Work independently to complete floral orders from intake to completion Familiarity or comfort with technology of POS systems, cashiering, retail math, and merchandising principles Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle phone and in person communication professionally Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment, especially during floral holiday This position offers an opportunity to combine customer service with creativity in a supportive and flexible work environment.
