Overview Join our vibrant floral team as a Floral Designer Assistant and bring beauty and creativity to life! In this dynamic role, you will support the floral design team by assisting with flower arrangements, maintaining floral displays, and ensuring our shop remains inviting and well-organized. Your enthusiasm for flowers, gardening, and customer service will help create memorable experiences for our customers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in floral design, horticulture, and retail operations while working in a lively, outdoor-inspired environment. Responsibilities Assist floral designers with creating stunning arrangements for various occasions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail Maintain the freshness and appearance of flowers by properly watering, trimming, and rotating stock Support merchandising efforts by organizing floral displays, stock replenishment, and product tagging Help manage inventory through stocking supplies, plant identification, and tracking floral materials Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about flowers, plants, and floral care both in person and over the phone Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions and handle cash or card payments with integrity Contribute to outdoor work tasks such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general gardening to enhance the shop's exterior appeal Skills Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant identification, and gardening practices Experience with floral design techniques and an eye for aesthetic detail Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and cashiering procedures Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Ability to perform outdoor work including lawn care and landscape maintenance confidently Organizational skills for managing stock levels, merchandising displays, and inventory records Customer service-oriented mindset with active listening skills to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions This role is perfect for individuals passionate about flowers, gardening, and creating beautiful environments.
