Jul 13, 2026 Aquent Talent is seeking a Senior Packaging Production Designer for a 6-month onsite contract in San Francisco, CA. This role will support a global device packaging team by translating approved packaging design concepts into production-ready artwork and documentation for global manufacturing. This is a highly detail-driven production design role focused on packaging artwork for device cartons, in-box documentation, labels, regulatory inserts, and related printed materials. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Adobe Creative Suite, packaging production, dielines, print specifications, SKU/version control, and manufacturing-ready file preparation.
What You'll Do:
Prepare production-ready packaging artwork for device cartons, labels, documentation, and regulatory inserts
Ensure accuracy across layout, typography, dielines, color specifications, imagery, and print requirements
Manage packaging artwork across multiple SKUs, accessory configurations, revisions, and regional variations
Partner with packaging designers, industrial designers, packaging engineers, print vendors, and manufacturing partners
Review production files, resolve print and dieline issues, and support mass production readiness
Maintain organized, version-controlled packaging files, templates, artwork libraries, and documentation standards
Ensure packaging deliverables align with product development milestones and manufacturing timelines
Must-Have Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in packaging production design or graphic production
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
Deep experience preparing production-ready packaging artwork for print production and manufacturing
Strong knowledge of dielines, print specifications, packaging layouts, typography, and file preparation
Experience managing complex artwork across multiple SKUs, revisions, and global packaging variations
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in San Fransisco

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Experience producing packaging artwork for consumer electronics, hardware, devices, or complex physical products
Familiarity with packaging manufacturing processes and print production workflows at scale
Experience working directly with packaging engineers, print vendors, and global manufacturing partners
Experience reviewing printer proofs and supporting final manufacturing readiness
Experience supporting large-scale launches with multiple SKUs and regional packaging variations
Retouching skills
