This is not an entry-level graphic design position . We need someone who understands how signs are actually designed, documented, produced, and installed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare professional sign plans, layouts, elevations, details, and production drawings Set up accurate production-ready files for CNC, printing, vinyl, fabrication, and installation Design and lay out code-required signage , including ADA, room identification, restroom, accessibility, life-safety, evacuation, and other regulatory signage Work from architectural plans, floor plans, elevations, site plans, and sign schedules Create sign location plans and message schedules Revise drawings based on field conditions, client comments, architect comments, and agency requirements Maintain organized production files and drawing sets
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Professional experience in the sign industry Strong knowledge of ADA and code signage Experience preparing sign plans and production drawings Experience setting up files for actual sign production — not just graphic design Ability to read architectural drawings and construction documents CorelDRAW experience is mandatory Strong understanding of vector artwork, dimensions, scaling, typography, materials, and fabrication requirements Excellent attention to detail Experience with wayfinding systems, government/public projects, architectural signage, CNC/router production, large-format printing, and permitting is a major plus. We are looking for someone who can take a project from architectural plans and specifications through sign planning, code signage, production setup, and final fabrication files with minimal hand-holding. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
