Job Description

POSITION
  • PRODUCTION
GRAPHIC DESIGNER
(Operations & Systems Focus) Ritchey Livestock ID is hiring a detail-driven, systems-minded Production Graphic Designer to help us build a smarter, more modern production design engine behind the scenes.
POSITION BACKGROUND.
We believe farmers and ranchers are the unsung heroes of our world. They work tirelessly to feed a planet of some 8 billion people, rewarded with neither fortune nor fame, not even a thank you sir/ma'am. Ritchey Livestock ID manufactures a $1.00 plastic identification tag for livestock. While we owe farmers and ranchers so much more, the least we can do is get this small task right for them. In our own tiny little way, we can help them win the day. That is why we choose to build a customer-first culture. Great customer experience is not built by marketing slogans alone. It is built by accuracy, speed, clean workflows, disciplined systems, and people who care enough to catch the small things before they become big problems. That is where this role comes in.
POSITION SUMMARY.
This is a full-time, onsite position for a B2C agricultural manufacturing company in Northern Colorado. This is not traditional graphic design. This is not a branding, advertising, or social media role. This is a production-focused, systems-oriented role for someone who enjoys building structure, improving workflows, organizing digital assets, and helping operational work move faster and more accurately. The Production Graphic Designer helps ensure customer artwork, layouts, templates, and production files move cleanly and accurately from order entry to manufacturing.
This role blends:
  • Production graphic design
  • Workflow discipline
  • Digital asset organization
  • AI-assisted automation
  • Visual systems documentation
  • Operational problem-solving You will help reduce friction, eliminate repetitive manual work, improve documentation, and help the business use technology — including AI tools — to improve speed, consistency, and quality.
You do not need to be an AI expert today. But you do need to be curious, adaptable, and excited about helping shape how modern production design work gets done. In plain
English:
You help ensure production files are accurate, organized, scalable, and production-ready every time.
POSITION HATS.
  • The Systems Architect
  • You bring structure where others see clutter. Standardized templates, organized workflows, clean file systems, and repeatable processes are not restrictive to you — they are how good work scales.
  • The Production-Minded Designer
  • You understand the difference between design that looks good and design that works in production. Accuracy, speed, consistency, and production-readiness matter just as much as aesthetics.
  • The Digital Librarian
  • You naturally create order out of digital chaos. Folder structures, naming conventions, version control, template libraries, and organized assets are things you quietly improve without being asked.
  • The Friction Finder
  • You notice friction others work around. Broken handoffs, repetitive manual steps, unclear processes, and avoidable errors stand out to you — and you look for practical ways to make the system work better.
  • The Curious Builder
  • You are curious, adaptable, and energized by improvement.
You are excited to learn new tools, including AI-assisted workflows, and you enjoy finding smarter, faster, and more consistent ways to get great work done.
YOU'LL LOVE THIS JOB IF
  • You enjoy bringing order to messy systems.
  • You naturally notice details others miss.
  • You enjoy improving workflows and reducing repetitive work.
  • You prefer structured, production-oriented design work over open-ended creative ambiguity.
  • You are excited about how AI and automation can improve operational work.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment where standards stay high.
