Join Our Team as a Part-Time Graphic Designer at Signarama Elizabethtown! Hi! We're glad you're interested in joining our team at Signarama Elizabethtown. We're a locally owned sign company that helps businesses, schools, churches, manufacturers, and organizations bring their brands to life through custom signs, graphics, vehicle wraps, dimensional lettering, banners, and more. At Signarama, we take pride in producing high-quality work while creating an environment that's positive, team-oriented, and enjoyable. We're looking for someone with a creative eye who enjoys graphic design but also isn't afraid to jump in and help wherever needed. About the Position This is primarily a graphic design position, with opportunities to learn the sign industry from start to finish. Our designers create production-ready artwork, communicate with customers, and prepare files for manufacturing. Since we're a small team, everyone is cross-trained to assist with production tasks during busy times, giving you the opportunity to develop valuable hands-on skills and see your designs come to life. This is a great opportunity for: College students studying graphic design or marketing Someone looking for a flexible part-time creative position A retired professional wanting to stay active Anyone interested in combining design with hands-on creative work Schedule We're looking for someone who can work 10-20 hours per week, and we're very flexible in how those hours are scheduled. Whether you're a college student, balancing another job, or simply looking for part-time work, we're happy to build a schedule that works for both of us.
Some examples include:
A few half-days each week Two or three full days per week Consistent morning or afternoon shifts A schedule that works around classes or other commitments Our office is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, and we're closed on weekends and major holidays. If you're reliable, communicate well, and can consistently work 10-20 hours each week, we'd love to find a schedule that fits. Starting pay is based on experience. There is opportunity for increased pay, additional hours, and potential future full-time employment based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities As our Part-Time Graphic Designer, you will: Design signs, banners, vehicle graphics, wall graphics, and other custom signage using Adobe Illustrator Prepare production-ready artwork for printing, routing, and vinyl cutting Communicate with customers regarding artwork revisions and approvals Measure signs, vehicles, and other projects as needed to create accurate layouts Maintain organized customer artwork files Assist with basic estimating and project preparation Answer phones and assist customers when needed Help with vinyl weeding, masking, mounting graphics, and assembling finished signs Assist with light production and shop organization during busy periods Make occasional local deliveries using company vehicles Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Training will be provided on our equipment and production processes. Qualifications We're looking for someone who is: Creative, organized, and detail-oriented Dependable and willing to learn Positive with a team-first attitude Comfortable working on multiple projects at once Able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers Preferred Skills Experience using Adobe Illustrator (required) Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop Graphic design experience (sign industry experience is a plus, but not required) Good spelling, grammar, and attention to detail Basic math and measuring skills Ability to learn new software and production techniques Physical Requirements Able to stand for portions of the day Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Comfortable assisting with light production work when needed Valid driver's license with a clean driving record What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Flexible part-time scheduling Paid training Hands-on experience in the sign industry Opportunities to learn new creative and production skills Friendly, supportive team environment Opportunity for future full-time employment If you enjoy graphic design, like seeing your work become real products, and want to be part of a team that values quality and creativity, we'd love to meet you!
