About the Marketing Team Dean Dorton's Marketing team plays a critical role in driving growth, visibility, and strategic positioning for the firm. Through thoughtful storytelling, targeted campaigns, and cross-functional collaboration, we help elevate our brand and build meaningful relationships with clients and communities across all industries we serve. About the Role The Junior Graphic Designer supports the firm's brand presence through engaging, high-quality visual content across digital and print platforms. This role works closely with the Senior Marketing Brand Manager and collaborates across teams to develop assets that align with Dean Dorton's visual identity and enhance both external marketing and internal communications. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented designer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to learn and grow while contributing fresh ideas and innovative design solutions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The essential duties & responsibilities of the Junior Graphic Designer role are outlined below in correlation with Dean Dorton's performance management impact areas.
Technical Definition:
your specialized knowledge & expertise associated with the work you perform for/with clients (note: clients may be internal to Dean Dorton). Support the firm's brand and marketing initiatives through creative content development, requiring a variety of tasks that may include: Designing marketing collateral including brochures, presentations, social media graphics, event signage, and advertisements Creating visual assets for digital platforms such as the website, email campaigns, and internal newsletters Ensuring all creative aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity Assisting with video, photography, and multimedia projects as needed

Demonstrate collaboration, creativity, and professionalism in all marketing interactions, requiring a variety of behaviors that may include: Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders to understand creative needs Receiving and incorporating feedback into design iterations Balancing multiple projects while meeting deadlines and upholding quality standards Partnering with the Senior Marketing Brand Manager to evolve and uphold brand identity

Contribute to the growth, efficiency, and innovation of the marketing function beyond day-to-day design work, requiring a variety of efforts that may include: Organizing design files, templates, and brand assets for team-wide access Proactively learning new design tools, trends, and techniques Supporting firmwide employee communications and internal initiatives with visual assets Participating in team meetings, process improvements, and brainstorming sessions Requirements Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience) 1-3 years of experience in graphic design, preferably within a marketing, agency, or corporate environment Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Familiarity with video editing and motion graphics tools (Premiere Pro or After Effects a plus) Strong attention to detail with an eye for typography, layout, and color Excellent communication and organizational skills Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and social media design best practices Software & Tools Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) Canva or similar lightweight design platforms Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com) Travel Occasional travel to Dean Dorton offices or events may be required.
