Job Description:
The Creative Designer is responsible for all areas of ad design, including but not limited to writing copy, researching a business' brand standards, finding artwork, and creating an innovative concept that meets the client's needs. They must prioritize a high-volume workload efficiently and accurately. The Creative Designer's role in the Creative Department varies as needed in order to support the Creative Director.Requirements:
- Education or experience in graphic design or marketing.
- Experience in print design for black and white and CMYK ads.
- Experience with Macs, Adobe Creative Suite CS6 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and Acrobat Pro.
- High-level creative thinking and the confidence to use it.
- Accurate and thorough work with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while using creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong and effective organizational and communication skills.
- Must have great interpersonal skills and work well with others.
- Ability to use time-management and prioritizing skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Typical activities include but are not limited to:
- Design print ads.
- Work closely with sales staff and/or clients to create innovative ad designs based on individual client requirements.
- Assist with page layout and formatting, including legal ads, classified ads, and obituaries.
- Design and schedule digital ads.
- Assist with updating WinonaPost.
