Job Description
Position Summary The Graphic Design Lead will be responsible for STLCC's district-wide brand design and visual efforts with primary focus on printed elements. The Graphic Design Lead will report to the Director of Marketing and must be able to seamlessly partner with internal and external team members from varying disciplines, including: marketing and communications, digital services, creative agencies, printers and internal clients. The Graphic Design Lead will have responsibility for the visual articulation and graphic style for St. Louis Community College and must be able to provide leadership in the areas of creative guidance/direction and project management. Primary Duties Performed Lead in-house design; responsible for the visual articulation of the brand. Mentor and oversee the in-house design team to ensure brand consistency. Work collaboratively and seamlessly with a variety of partners including agency, internal clients and in-house marketing and digital teams. Efficiently manage workflow/multiple projects with competing deadlines while remaining flexible to change and owning responsibility for timing. Own projects from creative development through production, managing all communication with print partners (estimates, print forms, press checks, timelines). Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Experience Bachelor's degree and 5+ years related work experience in graphic design or art direction are required. Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Pro, MS Office (ability to set up template files in MS Word & PPT) HTML, CSS and motion graphic experience preferred. Agency experience preferred. HTML, CSS and motion graphic experience preferred. Higher Education and/or non-profit experience a plus.
