We specialize in flexographic (flexo) packaging and the production of high-quality photopolymer plates. Our services also include graphic design, commercial printing, direct mail, website development, and large-format signage. This role requires wearing many hats in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Graphic Production Artist with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in photopolymer plate preparation and/or as a prepress technician. In this position, you will prepare and optimize artwork for photopolymer plate production used in flexographic and letterpress printing. Your expertise in print design, plate-making technologies (including Esko systems and Adobe Illustrator), and production workflows will be essential to delivering high-quality output for packaging, labels, and other printed materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and adapt graphic design artwork for photopolymer plate-making used in flexographic or letterpress printing Ensure artwork meets technical specifications for plate exposure, imaging, and print reproduction Collaborate with clients and production teams to create designs Perform color separation, trapping, distortion, and file correction for high-resolution output Create and maintain templates, dielines, and prepress documentation for consistency and accuracy Troubleshoot and resolve prepress issues related to artwork setup and file compatibility. Creating and Printing of banners, decals and yard signs Keep up to date with developments in flexographic printing technologies and software Answering the phone and taking messages Some office duties will be required

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in prepress or graphic design for print, ideally with photopolymer plate production Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) Working knowledge of Esko, ArtPro+, PackEdge, or other prepress workflow tools is highly preferred Strong understanding of flexographic printing, color management, and plate-making principles Some knowledge of using a HP Printer is preferred Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to print accuracy Ability to work under tight deadlines in a production environment
