Job Description

Jamestown Community College is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Part-Time Graphic Designer to support the Marketing & Communications team. This role plays a key part in visually bringing JCC's brand to life across digital and print platforms, supporting enrollment, student engagement, and institutional initiatives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative designer who can balance creativity with consistency, work efficiently within established brand guidelines, and adapt to a fast-paced higher education environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Required:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience; Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); Proficiency in Canva; Strong portfolio demonstrating both digital and print design work; Solid understanding of layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy; Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
Preferred:
Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations; Familiarity with social media and digital advertising formats; Basic understanding of web design principles (UX/UI, responsive design); Experience designing within established brand guidelines; Knowledge of accessibility best practices (ADA-friendly design).
