Portland, Oregon, United States Description EC Electric is looking for a creative and dedicated professional with the talent for producing sophisticated designs, illustrations, and layouts. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced, team environment, and is adept at juggling multiple deadlines. The Graphic Designer is part of the in-house Marketing department, working directly with firm executives, marketing department leads, project managers, field staff, and writers to develop winning proposals, articles, presentations, brochures, website updates, and ads.
Responsibilities:
The design of proposal graphics and layouts, corporate presentations, and overall graphic direction and support for presentations.
Storytelling through video production, via website and social media.
Creating and producing sophisticated and high-impact graphics, illustrations, organization charts, covers, tabs, and document templates for visually appealing, distinctive, and highly effective marketing materials, proposal documents, websites, and presentations, all within EC's corporate brand standards.
Supporting our proposal teams by enhancing the design, layout, and flow of proposal documents and presentations using sound design principles to increase visual appeal and readability.
You are the primary artist for laying out content and coordinating production. This includes incorporating feedback from project and marketing team members throughout the design process. Quality control is critical and while the visual presentation is important, our primary directive is to present clear, compelling, and accurate information.
Jobsite and corporate photography, photo retouching and editing, videography, video editing and production, logo development, brand style guide implementation, and signage Requirements BFA/BA in graphic design or related field.
3+ years of experience in a visual design capacity, preferably in the A/E/C industry.
Must be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, etc.) and MS PowerPoint.
Ability to draw and create custom graphics and illustrations.
Experience designing creative, attractive, and easily readable documents utilizing sound design principles.
Experience creating powerful and engaging slide decks with PowerPoint and Prezi.
The ability to understand and transform complex topics into clear and compelling visuals.
Deadline-oriented, with grace under pressure.
Excellent grammar, punctuation, and other written English skills.
Comfortable presenting concepts and ideas to decision makers. Benefits Salary range for this position is $80,000 annually. Opportunity for a discretionary year-end Equal employment opportunity, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
