Part-time, unpaid (must be eligible to receive college academic credit) About the Clubs The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC and Pittsburgh Riveters SC are committed to excellence on and off the field, representing the city of Pittsburgh with pride, passion, and community connection. Through creative visual storytelling, the clubs engage fans and strengthen their brands across digital, print, and in-stadium platforms. Position Overview The Graphic Design Intern will assist in creating compelling visual content for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Riveters throughout the fall. This role is ideal for a creative and motivated student looking to gain hands-on experience in sports design, branding, and content creation within a professional sports environment.

This internship is unpaid, and candidates must be actively enrolled in a college or university program that allows them to receive academic credit for the internship. Responsibilities Design graphics for social media, email marketing, website content, digital advertising, and in-stadium displays Assist with matchday creative needs, including lineups, score updates, promotional graphics, and post-match content Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to develop creative concepts and execute projects on deadline Help maintain brand consistency across all club platforms and materials Assist in creating print materials, signage, promotional collateral, and special event assets Organize and maintain design files and creative assets Support seasonal campaigns, merchandise launches, ticket promotions, and community initiatives through visual design Qualifications Current college student pursuing a degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field Eligible to receive college academic credit for the internship Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Understanding of typography, layout, branding, and visual storytelling principles Ability to work on-site during regular office hours, as well as nights, weekends, and matchdays when needed Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience creating content for social media platforms is preferred Familiarity with motion graphics and Adobe After Effects is a plus Experience in sports, entertainment, or live events is a plus Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Reliable, professional, and receptive to creative feedback What You'll Gain Real-world experience with a professional sports organization Hands-on opportunities in sports branding and graphic design Portfolio-building work published across club platforms Mentorship from experienced marketing and creative professionals Academic credit through your college or university program How to Apply Interested candidates should submit a resume, brief cover letter, and a portfolio showcasing relevant design work.
