We are looking for a highly creative associate graphic designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, both in print and digital media. Our ideal candidate will have proficient knowledge of current design software and skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. The graphic designer should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have basic understanding of branding, with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the project. PORTFOLIO IS REQUIRED

in order to be considered for this position. Responsibilities for Graphic Designer Experience in magazine/book layout is highly preferred. Willingness to learn new skills and processes. Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral. Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule. Follow brand guidelines set forth for the company and all clients. Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and time restrictions. Perform retouching and manipulation of images, and resizing for web use. Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software. Build templated magazine layouts in Wordpress. Update templates in MailChimp. Requirements and skills Proven graphic design experience. Advanced knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, hierarchy and print. Proficient with design software and technologies (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Working knowledge of WordPress, MailChimp. Content management systems preferred but not necessary. A keen eye for aesthetics and details. Excellent communication skills. Operate under time-critical circumstances to meet project deadlines. Degree in Graphic Design, or related field preferred. Work experience in the field also considered. Experience creating web graphics. Demonstrates flexibility, i.e. willingly takes on new tasks.
