Job Description
Design Specialist at
Ensure all installations meet quality, safety, and organizational standards.
Support smooth event operations by coordinating with teams and vendors.
Maintain dcor inventory and materials for efficiency and long-term use.
Contribute innovative ideas to improve processes, design execution, and guest experience.
Stay current with design trends, industry developments, and innovative dcor techniques.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with clients and event teams to understand event vision, themes, and design preferences.
Develop creative dcor concepts, layouts, lighting, and overall designs, and present detailed proposals including sketches, renderings, mood boards, and material samples for client approval. Source, select, and manage dcor, furniture, and materials.
Oversee on-site installation, ensuring alignment with design plans.
Maintain inventory, organize materials, and ensure dcor quality and safety.
Troubleshoot and adjust installations in real time to meet client expectations.
Contribute ideas to enhance processes, efficiency, and event presentation.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure timely delivery and setup and load out of dcor.
Qualifications5+ years of experience or a bachelors degree in Interior Design, Event Design, Fine Arts or a related field.
Proven experience in event dcor, styling, set design, fabrication, or interior design, preferably within events, fashion, or hospitality.
Strong artistic and creative abilities with a keen visual eye and attention to detail.
Proficient in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and 3D rendering tools.
Ability to lift, carry, and move event materials as part of setup and breakdown.
Ability to follow design plans accurately and execute with precision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting ideas to clients and team members.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
