Our Purpose To Curate Small Joys The Role We are seeking a freelance, part-time Project Assistant (15-20 hours/week) to support editorial and product development workflows across our brands. This role is focused on copyediting, proofreading, and ensuring accuracy across product, packaging, and marketing materials. You will partner with cross-functional teams including Design, Product Development, Production, and Sales to help maintain quality and consistency from concept through production. What You'll Do Key Responsibilities Copyedit and proof planners, calendars, gift products, websites, sell sheets, catalogs, and marketing materials across all brands Review and proof factory PDFs, digital proofs, pre-production samples, and advances, including reprints Proofread marketing and sales materials as needed Support administrative and clerical tasks related to product and editorial workflows General Responsibilities Follow established editorial style guides, procedures, and SOPs Update editorial schedules, trackers, and spreadsheets as needed Assist with writing product copy, catalog content, and product briefs as assigned Research trends in gift, stationery, and calendar/planner markets to support product development Contribute ideas during brainstorms and product development discussions What You Bring
  • Strong proofreading and copyediting skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written communication skills and comfort working across cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to track details and maintain accuracy across multiple workstreams Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs) Interest in product development, packaging, and consumer goods (gift, stationery, or lifestyle products a plus) Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides) and comfort working in shared project tools and trackers Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented—able to anticipate needs, surface risks early, and keep teams moving Why You'll Love It Here Work on creative, design-forward products across multiple brands Be part of a collaborative, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial team Contribute to products that bring joy to everyday life Flexible, part-time schedule
