Job Description

NeuroPrex is a medical device company transforming Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation device used for treating depression and other neurological disorders. We are looking for an Industrial Designer who can understand our product end use, technology, and manufacturing methods and provide efficient, timely, and creative industrial designs for the product. www.neuroprexinc.com Job Description The Industrial Designer must be able to provide an effectual and state-of-the art design for our visionary medical device and its accompanying parts.
This includes:
Device Product Design Improve the current design of our prototype which includes a portable power supply and a wearable helmet in many aspects: chassis, bio-compatible materials, adopting IEC and FDA safety guidelines, durability testing, heat dissipation/ventilation, cooling, noise reduction, anti-damping, robotic outlook, etc. to work with our in-house electrical engineers. The Designer should also be able to: Hands-on, independent capability to develop industrial design for a functional product that complies with IEC safety standards. Provide material and part recommendations and demonstrate the ability to identify and develop optimal design solutions. Exhibit strong creativity and exceptional insight to drive forward-looking product design. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members. Knowledge of FDA safety engineering standards is a plus. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is required. Submit a detailed proposal outlining the scope, approach, timeline, and deliverables prior to project initiation. Required Experience Bachelors and/or advanced degree in Medical Product Engineering, Industrial Design, or related fields 3+ years' experience in the industrial/ structural design of products for home use electronic equipment and/or portable medical devices for meeting FDA 510k guideline requirements Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering background is a plus Open and creative mindset with excellent communication skills to be able to produce timely and expected results as per our requirements Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD and general PC skills Knowledge of prototyping systems (3D printing & CAM tables) Valid U.S. Work Permit is required. Local Bay Area people is preferred Small scale product manufacture and production Please share and attach your design portfolio when applying for the position
Interview Process:

We would like the candidate to bring some real samples of medical/electronic device design which can be used to reflect your idea for our device design. Background check report is required
Payment :
• Per project
Timeline:
12 weeks from the day of project initiation. We appreciate efficient work which requires minimum revisions and gets quick approval from the reviewing team. Any delay in the project timeline due to longer approval cycles will be expected to be included in the 60 hours' work and not limited to 12 weeks' timeline.
