Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Sr Product Design Engineer for a Contract with a client in South Bend, IN. The ideal candidate is responsible for leading engineering projects related to supply chain transitions, source qualification, and validation activities while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and business requirements.

Rate Range:
$60/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Sr Product Design Engineer Job Responsibilities include: Lead engineering projects supporting supply chain transitions, source relocations, dual-sourcing initiatives, and supplier qualification activities. Plan, coordinate, and manage project scope, schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution. Perform engineering substantiation and validation activities for new or relocated sources of supply, ensuring compliance with technical and quality requirements. Review engineering drawings, specifications, change documentation, and technical data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to support product and process improvements. Ensure all engineering activities adhere to aerospace regulations, procedures, certification standards, and organizational requirements.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 4-6 years of engineering experience in aerospace, manufacturing, product development, supply chain engineering, or a related field. Experience in engineering substantiation, validation of engineering changes, technical documentation review, and product qualification activities. Proven project management experience managing scope, schedules, resources, and cross-functional engineering initiatives within a regulated aerospace environment.
