Micro-LAM, Inc., a rapidly growing local company, is seeking an organized, knowledgeable and goal-oriented individual to participate in its extremely dynamic internship program. The candidate will be involved in designing, prototyping and testing key components related to optics manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake and successfully complete product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications, maintaining product documentation, testing processes, and validating equipment and processes.
- Be part of a team in inventing or creating concepts and designs for new products, processes and test methods.
- Design, procure and fabricate simple tooling and fixtures.
- Designs and performs engineering tests and experiments.
- Prepare standard reports to communicate results to technical team.
- Design parts on SolidWorks.
- Prototype and test parts for current and future products.
- Identify areas for improvement, suggest solutions and submit idea records.
