Full Job Description Position Title :

Packaging Technical Development & Sourcing (Entry-level)

General Responsibilities :

1.

Technical Analysis & Specification Management Technical Feasibility:

Conduct technical analysis of packaging components (bottles, pumps, tubes, etc.) to ensure initial compatibility with cosmetic formulas.

Spec Development:

Create and maintain finalized packaging specification documents to ensure production consistency.

Technical Validation & Sampling:

Review physical component samples and PPS (Pre-Production Samples) against digital design data for approval or modification. 2.

Artwork Review & Aesthetic Coordination Producibility Review:

Review and coordinate client artworks to ensure they are technically producible (e.g., font legibility, color matching, printing method constraints).

Sampling Management:

Request and manage package sampling for confirmed specifications, ensuring artwork alignment on the physical component.

Troubleshooting:

Use problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues related to artwork, lead time, and quality. 3.

Sourcing & Procurement Support Supplier Sourcing:

Search for and identify new package suppliers that meet specific client requirements and technical capabilities.

Costing & Negotiation:

Obtain quotations and participate in price consultations with suppliers to ensure price competitiveness.

PO & Administration:

Place POs to packaging suppliers based on finalized specs and handle cost settlements.

Supply Stability:

Support the maintenance of supply stability through ongoing contact with existing and new suppliers. 4.

Project Coordination & Communication Cross-functional Support:

Serve as a point person for internal sales staff and cross-functional teams to maintain project timelines.

Client Interaction:

Prepare physical samples and digital data for client approval, ensuring all aesthetic targets are met.

Contract Administration & Compliance:

Coordinate the execution of NDAs and Supply Agreements with new suppliers to secure intellectual property and supply chains.

Qualifications :

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator) for artwork review is preferred. Advanced proficiency in MS Office for managing Bill of Materials (BOM) and analyzing cost data is highly preferred.

Communication:

Proficiency in Korean and/or Chinese is preferred to facilitate effective communication and coordination between our US operations and Asian affiliates/suppliers.

Mindset:

Detail-oriented, proactive in problem-solving, and able to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously.
