Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Product Engineer (5+ years) to support the development and integration of automotive audio and electronic components. This role focuses on component packaging, vehicle layout development, supplier coordination, and cross-functional communication throughout the product development process.
Responsibilities:
Support design and integration of speakers, switches, brackets, and other vehicle electronic components. Develop component layout proposals and packaging studies using CATIA. Coordinate with body, interior, styling, and supplier teams to ensure design feasibility. Create parts lists, support variation management activities, and track component implementation. Participate in concept-to-production development activities. Review supplier proposals and provide engineering feedback. Communicate technical concerns and support decision-making across departments.
Qualifications:
5+ years of automotive product engineering experience. Working knowledge of CATIA (advanced surfacing not required). Experience with component packaging, vehicle layouts, and supplier coordination. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to manage part ownership and work independently with minimal supervision. Experience supporting components through the full product development cycle preferred.
