Job Description
The Product Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving industrial valve products used in Oil & Gas production environments. This role requires strong mechanical design capability, hands-on experience with valve engineering, and the ability to work within strict industry and safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of production equipment used in Oil & Gas operations and will be highly proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, design validation, and drawing creation. Key Responsibilities Design and develop industrial valve products for Oil & Gas production applications Create and modify detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks Support full product lifecycle including concept design, prototyping, testing, and production release Perform design calculations and ensure compliance with ASME, API, and industry standards Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibility Improve existing valve designs for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for field performance issues Participate in engineering reviews and design validation processes Ensure all documentation is accurate, controlled, and compliant with company standards Required Qualifications Oil & Gas industry experience, specifically with production equipment (upstream/midstream strongly preferred) Proficiency in SolidWorks (required) for 3D modeling, drafting, and design documentation Strong mechanical engineering background Experience working with manufacturing teams and production environments Understanding of industry standards such as API, ASME, or equivalent
