Key Job Responsibilities Contribute to the design and development of components and systems for electric wheel loaders, supporting projects from concept through prototype and into production, ensuring compliance with performance and safety criteria.\nConduct detailed CAD modeling and drafting, preparing and revising technical documentation, assemblies, and parts lists to support manufacturing and field service teams.\nSupport engineering evaluations involving tests, analysis, and calculations to validate design concepts and improve product reliability and efficiency.\nCollaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, working under the supervision of senior engineers and designers to meet project timelines and technical specifications.\nEngage proactively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining engineering workflows, improving quality, and reducing costs without compromising on technical excellence.\nCommunicate engineering design considerations clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders including Sales, Service, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.\nParticipate in departmental training programs and leverage external learning opportunities to keep abreast of emerging technologies, CAD software advancements, and industry trends in machine design.\nAssist in managing engineering change orders and document control, ensuring accurate and timely updates to design data and compliance with global engineering standards. Qualifications/Requirements A certification in Technology, Engineering Design, or a closely related field is required to ensure solid foundational knowledge of engineering principles and CAD practices.\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\nAt least three years of experience in machine design, preferably within the mining or heavy machinery sectors, demonstrating applied skills in component and system design.\nProficiency with major CAD software platforms such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD is highly desirable to contribute effectively from day one.\nExperience or familiarity with Lean Engineering methodologies to support process optimization and waste reduction across engineering activities.\nKnowledge of structured Change Management processes to ensure smooth implementation of design updates and continuous product improvement.\nParticipation in collaborative team projects or focused engineering assignments which highlight effective communication and teamwork capabilities.\nActive subscription or engagement with CAD and engineering technical publications or professional groups, demonstrating commitment to ongoing professional development.
