Hitachi Energy is looking for a skilled Mechanical Product Design Engineer to join a collaborative team focused on developing advanced technologies and high-performance solutions. In this role, you will lead mechanical design initiatives from concept through production, helping bring innovative products to life while balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost. You'll work alongside talented engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain professionals in a dynamic environment that encourages creativity, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to influence product development, solve complex engineering challenges, and contribute to meaningful innovations that support customers worldwide. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines. How You'll Make an Impact Lead the design and development of mechanical products, subsystems, and components from concept through production. Translate technical requirements into robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective mechanical solutions. Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using advanced CAD tools. Perform engineering analyses including stress, vibration, thermal, and performance evaluations. Plan and execute product verification, validation, prototyping, and testing activities. Partner with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, manufacturing, and supply chain experts. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, performance, and development processes. Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, reports, and manufacturing instructions. Your Background Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development. Proven expertise with 3D CAD design software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo. Experience with engineering analysis tools, including FEA and/or CFD. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and design for manufacturability principles. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills within multidisciplinary teams.
