Interior Design Assistant Little Rock, AR 72212 From $35,000 a year - Full-time From $35,000 a year - Full-time Overview Join our dynamic and growing interior design team as an Interior Design Assistant, where your creativity and technical skills will help bring inspiring spaces to life! This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate on hospitality design and procurement projects nationwide. You'll support a senior designer with drafting, visualization, and organizational project assimilation and coordination, gaining invaluable experience in the this specialized sector of the design industry. If you're passionate about design, technically or very detail-oriented, and eager to grow your skills, this role is perfect for you! Responsibilities Assist in creating detailed interior design plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit as needed Develop 3D visualizations and renderings with SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Rhinoceros 3D as needed Prepare presentation materials utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite tools as needed Support project management tasks to include budgeting, product research, entering specifications, checking details, quantities, scheduling, ordering samples, creating 3d and physical image boards, and tracking project milestones Research projects Collaborate with vendors and contractors on lighting sales, remodeling, renovation, and construction details Review Property Imporvement Plans and ensure compliance with project scope and client expectations Prepare bi-weekly updates to clients and other correspondance for Senior Designer Some travel with designer possible (optional) Skills Proficiency in SketchUp, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), and 3ds Max for drafting and visualization Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite for presentation development Experience with CAD drafting, interior design principles, and color theory fundamentals Ability to manage multiple projects effectively through project management tools Familiarity with construction documentation, contracts management, budgeting practices, and renovation workflows Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and team members Embark on a rewarding journey in interior design by supporting innovative projects that transform spaces into inspiring environments.
