BA is an architecture and interior design firm that is a leader in healthcare, life sciences, workplace, and early learning facilities. We provide architecture and interior design services from thriving offices in Sacramento, Boulder, Charlotte, Dallas, Irvine, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Seattle.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time emerging professional with an interior design focus to join our Sacramento team. This person will help design and document a variety of healthcare project types in all phases from programming through construction administration. Top candidates will be comfortable using computational design tools to drive project design and production. They will be looking for an open office environment with long-term career potential and will be eager to learn quickly and progress in their careers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare design studies Plan and execute work as a reliable, integral member of a project team Coordinate work with consultants, clients and regulatory agencies Develop project documentation in Revit Perform construction administration duties Support the interior design and project teams as assigned Help to maintain the interiors library
Required Experience/Attributes:
Four-year degree in interior design or interior architecture 6 months of relevant professional experience Portfolio that demonstrates excellence in design thinking At least 6 months of Revit experience Attention to detail and positive attitude Self-motivated and able to problem-solve independently Accountable and results-oriented Interest in healthcare design
Preferred Experience:
Healthcare project experience Interest in lean construction methods Commitment to sustainable design practices Commitment to promoting an equitable and inclusive team environment Physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation: Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, phone and perform repetitive motion (keyboard); writing (notetaking); reading and analyzing written material Ability to sit for long periods; stand, sit, reach, bend, lift up to thirty (30) lbs Ability to express or exchange ideas to impart information to the public and internal employees and to convey detailed instructions accurately and quickly The hourly rate for this full-time, non-exempt position starts at a MINIMUM of $24.04 per hour, depending on experience.
