- Full-time Senior Interior Designer & Business Development Amaro Design Center | San Diego, CA Amaro Design Center is a luxury remodeling showroom serving homeowners, contractors, designers, architects, and builders throughout Southern California.
We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer who is more than just a designer—you enjoy meeting people, building relationships, selling design services, and growing a business. If you've worked at a design studio, cabinet showroom, tile showroom, flooring company, or luxury design center and already have relationships with contractors, designers, architects, builders, or developers, we want to speak with you. Responsibilities Welcome and assist walk-in showroom customers Sell interior design services Create beautiful kitchens, bathrooms, and full-home designs Help customers select cabinets, countertops, flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, doors, hardware, and finishes Prepare design presentations and material selections Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, designers, architects, developers, and other industry professionals Bring existing business relationships and continue developing new accounts Generate repeat business and referrals Follow up with clients and close showroom sales Work closely with our remodeling and construction teams to ensure a seamless customer experience Qualifications 4+ years of interior design or showroom sales experience Experience working in a design center, cabinet showroom, flooring showroom, kitchen & bath showroom, or similar environment Strong sales and customer service skills Existing relationships with contractors, designers, architects, builders, or developers are highly preferred Experience preparing design boards and finish selections Excellent communication and presentation skills Organized, professional, and self-motivated Preferred Experience Kitchen and bath design Luxury residential remodeling Cabinet design software (2020 Design or similar) Material and finish selection Business development and networking Compensation Competitive salary pay based on experience Commission opportunities on design services and showroom sales Performance bonuses Full-Time position Monday-Friday To Apply Please email: Resume Portfolio of completed projects Photos of projects you have designed A brief description of the design showroom or company where you previously worked A list of the products you have experience selling (cabinets, flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures, countertops, lighting, etc.) Tell us about any contractor, designer, architect, or builder relationships you currently have.
