Job Title:
Kitchen & Bath Designer About Us Established in 1996, we are a California company specializing in high-end kitchen and bath design located on the Monterey Peninsula. With 30 years of experience, we've built a strong reputation on quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service, and innovative solutions. We deliver top-notch remodeling experiences for discerning homeowners, architects, and builders, specializing in all aspects of home renovation including kitchens, baths, windows, doors, flooring, pergolas, and outdoor kitchens. The Role As a Kitchen & Bath Designer, you'll guide clients from initial consultation through project completion, creating functional and inspiring spaces that reflect their lifestyle and vision. This is a commission-based sales and design position ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a client-focused environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client consultations in our showroom and in-home to uncover their vision, lifestyle needs, and budget
  • Perform on-site measurements to obtain precise dimensions and site-specific details
  • Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and cabinetry specifications using AutoCAD and renderings with SketchUp
  • Develop appliance, plumbing, and lighting specifications
  • Generate accurate pricing using various vendor software programs
  • Develop and present creative design concepts with clarity and confidence
  • Guide clients through product selections including cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and finishes
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build relationships with builders and design professionals through local networking
  • Follow up on leads and quotes to maximize sales performance Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in kitchen and bath design and sales
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong expertise in design, estimating, and sales
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent math skills and ability to read construction drawings and appliance/plumbing specifications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong listener and creative problem solver with a refined design aesthetic
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and sees projects through from start to finish Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD) or NKBA certification
  • Proficiency in SketchUp or other rendering software
  • Deep knowledge of cabinetry lines and construction standards
