Our projects span prestigious markets including Los Angeles, Malibu, Palm Springs, San Francisco, Park City, New York, and Miami. Our work is rooted in thoughtful design, architectural integrity, and elevated client experiences. We are passionate about creating timeless interiors that blend sophistication, functionality, and artistry. As our studio continues to grow, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead and manage multiple high-end residential projects from concept through installation. Position Summary The Senior Interior Designer will play a critical leadership role within the studio, overseeing multiple residential design projects while collaborating directly with the Principal Designer, consultants, architects, contractors, vendors, and clients. This role is ideal for a highly creative and technically skilled designer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and possesses a deep understanding of luxury residential interiors, project management, spatial planning, and construction coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, visually sophisticated, and capable of managing both the creative and operational aspects of complex design projects. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Design Management Support the Principal Designer in managing all phases of the interior design process from concept development through final installation. Translate conceptual design ideas into cohesive and executable project plans. Lead and manage multiple ongoing high-end residential projects simultaneously. Coordinate internal design workflows and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. Design Development & Documentation Develop furniture plans, interior elevations, finish schedules, and construction documentation. Produce and manage design presentations, mood boards, and visualization materials for client review. Create and maintain 3D models and renderings using Rhinoceros 3D, Enscape, or equivalent rendering platforms. Prepare and review detailed drawing sets, specifications, and technical documentation. FF&E Procurement & Vendor Coordination Lead FF&E sourcing and procurement processes including: Vendor research and coordination Pricing requests and negotiations Proposal preparation Purchase orders and invoicing Tracking deliveries and installations Maintain relationships with domestic and international vendors, showrooms, artisans, and fabricators. Client & Consultant Coordination Attend client meetings, site visits, installations, and consultant coordination meetings. Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, subcontractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders. Prepare meeting notes, action items, and project updates. Manage project schedules, budgets, scopes, and timelines. Construction Administration Coordinate submittals, RFIs, ASIs, IDSK reviews/responses, and consultant communications. Review shop drawings and construction details for alignment with design intent. Ensure project execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Installation & Project Closeout Assist with project installations, styling, and photoshoots. Coordinate onsite activities with vendors and contractors during final installation phases. Ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of professional interior design experience within a design firm. Extensive experience in luxury/high-end residential interior design.
Strong understanding of:
Spatial planning Material selection Architectural detailing Construction documentation Interior architectural concepts Proficiency in project management and procurement software such as Studio Designer or equivalent. Experience managing multiple projects, schedules, and design teams. Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills. Strong free-hand sketching and conceptual design abilities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Must currently reside in the Los Angeles area.
Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in:
AutoCAD Rhinoceros 3D Enscape Adobe Photoshop Bluebeam/Acrobat Microsoft Office Suite Experience with California construction administration processes including: Submittals RFIs ASIs/IDSK reviews Consultant coordination Knowledge of fine art, art history, furniture design, and architecture. Experience traveling domestically and internationally for installations and project coordination. Strong vendor and showroom relationships within the U.S. and Europe.
