Job Description

Overview We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Kitchen & Closet Designer / Engineer to join our innovative design team. This role involves creating customized storage solutions and kitchen layouts that combine functionality with aesthetic appeal. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in CAD software, mechanical design, and drafting, along with a passion for interior design and engineering principles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing cutting-edge tools and techniques to deliver exceptional results for clients. Duties Develop detailed designs for kitchens and closets using CAD software such as , AutoCAD, KCD and Cabinet Vision. Create precise schematics and technical drawings. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate ideas into functional layouts that optimize space utilization. Prepare construction documents and specifications to guide manufacturing and installation processes. Utilize engineering principles to ensure designs meet structural integrity, safety standards, and building codes. Assist in project planning by developing timelines, material lists, and fabrication instructions. Incorporate mechanical design elements where necessary to enhance product performance and durability. Use 2D animation tools for client presentations or project visualizations when required. Coordinate with manufacturing teams and contractors during the installation phase to ensure design accuracy and quality control. Requirements Proven experience with CAD software including SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, or similar programs. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, schematics, drafting standards, and construction practices. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. Experience in interior design or cabinetry engineering is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in both design development and technical documentation. Strong communication skills for collaborating with clients, team members, and contractors. Knowledge of industry standards related to construction safety and building codes is a plus. This role is ideal for a creative engineer or designer passionate about transforming spaces through innovative solutions while leveraging advanced CAD tools and engineering expertise.
