Kitchen & Bath Designer

Atlantic Design Center, a division of Eldredge Lumber & Hardware, is looking for an experienced Kitchen & Bath Designer to join our Sanford, ME showroom. If you love turning a client's vision into a space they'll enjoy for years — and you're equally comfortable at a drafting table and a job site — we'd love to meet you. What you'll do You'll own projects from the first client meeting through final delivery — designing spaces, managing orders, and keeping every detail on track.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Meet with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget Take accurate field measurements and produce clear floor plans for homeowners, contractors, and installers Develop complete design packages including cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and plumbing fixtures Prepare quotes, proposals, and sales agreements; explain project details and company policies to clients and contractors Place and manage orders — confirm pricing, create purchase orders, review order confirmations Coordinate countertop templates and deliveries, ensuring all paperwork and design details are in order Follow through to project close — collect payments, resolve balances, process returns, and source replacement parts as needed Build lasting relationships with contractors and sales reps Collaborate with our Flooring & Tile team to create a seamless customer experience Stay current on design trends, product lines, and industry codes Meet or exceed sales goals while keeping projects, files, and folders well organized What we're looking for Required Experience in cabinetry or a related design field Proficiency in 20/20 design software Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Strong customer service and communication skills Detail-oriented, organized, and a team player Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously A plus Experience with SketchUp Familiarity with countertop templating workflows Established relationships with contractors in southern Maine About Atlantic Design Center Atlantic Design Center is a full-service kitchen and bath showroom and a division of Eldredge Lumber & Hardware — a trusted name in building materials across New England. $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
